Meraviglioso castello costruito nel 1200 con piscina, situato a soli 20 minuti dal centro storico di Firenze.
Il castello, di circa 900 metri quadrati, sorge nei pressi del comune di Villamagna e rappresenta uno dei più significativi esempi attualmente conservati tra gli edifici fortificati italiani.
La proprietà vanta un grande patrimonio storico, essendo stata la famosa dimora di diverse illustri personalità come Rinaldo di Maso degli Albizi, la famiglia degli Altoviti e altre personalità tra le più potenti e influenti dell’era medievale fiorentina.
Questa maestosa proprietà immersa nel verde è perfettamente esposta a Sud e, grazie alla sua posizione strategica, gode di viste panoramiche incantevoli sul Duomo di Firenze e dispone di ambienti luminosi e piacevoli.
La struttura medievale presenta una forma a “ferro di cavallo” e si compone di un corpo centrale, un’ala est e un’ala ovest, tra cui si erge una torre medievale. Nella parte principale del piano terra troviamo un’imponente sala con volte a crociera e un grande camino in pietra.
La zona giorno prosegue verso l’ala ovest dove un corridoio con ampie finestre consente l’accesso sia al cortile interno del castello che agli spazi esterni sul retro della fortezza.

Wonderful castle built in 1200 with a pool, located just 20 minutes from the historic center of Florence. The castle, covering approximately 900 square meters, is situated near the municipality of Villamagna and represents one of the most significant examples currently preserved among Italian fortified buildings. The property boasts a rich historical heritage, having been the famous residence of several illustrious personalities such as Rinaldo di Maso degli Albizi, the Altoviti family, and other influential figures of the medieval Florentine era.

This majestic property immersed in greenery is perfectly exposed to the south and, thanks to its strategic position, enjoys enchanting panoramic views of the Florence Cathedral and features bright and pleasant spaces. The medieval structure has a “horseshoe” shape and consists of a central body, an east wing, and a west wing, including a medieval tower. In the main part of the ground floor, there is an imposing hall with cross vaults and a large stone fireplace. The living area continues towards the west wing where a corridor with large windows provides access both to the castle’s inner courtyard and to the outdoor spaces at the back of the fortress. A living room, a dining room, and a service kitchen complete this area.

In the eastern part of the castle, there is the main kitchen, a secondary living room, and another dining room. This floor is completed by two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a guest bathroom. The upper floor consists of a master suite with a gym, sauna, en-suite bathroom, and walk-in closet. The sleeping area has two additional bedrooms with bathrooms located in the ancient library of the fortress. On the intermediate floor, there is a comfortable bedroom and a guest bathroom.
